Extra Length Dock Bumpers

Primarily used as the bottom seal for your dock seal unit the extra length dock bumper can effectively deter the elements, birds, pests, and other undesirable environmental nuisances when installed properly. Extra length Dock Bumpers come in a variety of standard sizes ranging from 51" up to 123" (Custom sizing is available). This covers the standard range of dock door openings of 8'-10'. 

Constructed of tough rubberized fabric pads cut from selected recycled truck tires, the 4 1/2" or 6" pieces are compressed between heavy structural steel angles and secured with 3/4" steel carriage Bolts under over a ton of pressure. In addition extra length bumpers have structural steel mounting brackets built in between the bumper material for extra support. Choose from (4) anchorage devices.

Please Note: 3/8" flat plates may be substituted for one or both angles.
AD-3 anchorage style is standard. Please specify other style if applicable.

 

USES/APPLICATIONS
  • Primarily used in conjunction with dock seals
  • Ideal for sealing in/out heat, cold, bugs, dust and debris
  • Provides continuous protection across face of dock for applications where trucks back in at an angle

INSTALLATION
  • Structural steel angles mechanically fastened or welded by 3/4“ anchors to dock face
  • Four anchorage device options for welded and anchored applications

SPECIFICATIONS
  • Resilient rubber material of bumpers shall be sourced from truck tires cut to uniform size pads and punched to  receive ¾” supporting rods
  • All bumpers compressed under approximately 1,500 lbs of pressure, steel angles secured by ¼” steel rods passing through tire sections  
  • The anchor leg of the angle extends a minimum of 3” beyond the rubber surface at either end and contains 13/16” anchor bolt holes as required (anchor bolts supplied separately)
  • Galvanized available upon request, surcharges apply

  • Anchor bolts are protected by at least 3” of rubber to prevent damage
